I love this dress, the bodice and fit is to die for and the skirt is amazing to spin around in :)
Our Christmas shopping is far from over, may have to battle the crowds and get it over and done with on Wednesday, and I'm craving sunshine and candyfloss. It's warm but raining or cloudy and we're all anticipating the sun that December is meant to bring.
Fingers crossed it's soon :D

I am already excited about Christmas! I had my tree up in mid-November haha but what I love most about it is the dinosaur decorations I bought from work. They're Rex from Toy Story but I mean, dinosaur ornaments?!! Wicked :D
I've been super busy (I say that every time) but I actually have been! I'm making my workmate a dress and mum's graduation is coming up. I'm really excited about mum graduating. She's worked so hard over the past 5 years: working, studying and maintaining a household! How she did it, I'll never know!
I'm reading Lolita at the moment... It's beautifully written but oh my god! Slightly disturbing really.

A Wonderful Wee Break

I managed to get a bit of time off work a wee while ago so we could go to my cousin's wedding. The wedding was cancelled due to a rather unfortunate event but my dad decided to go away anyway. Which was good, I needed to get away from everything. We went up to Timaru to see my grandma and the weather was amazing! Which suited me fine since I forgot my cardigan haha

Now I have work for the next 5 days haha and I need to finish a few dresses :)

Today I was over at Jake's. We went down to the supermarket (it's dangerous living so close to a supermarket) to get a pie, then walked through the gardens. I forgot my camera so couldn't get any photos of the day but that's alright. We got an ice-cream since it was quite warm (until the clouds came) and fed the ducks before walking back. I, quite honestly, had the best time :)

Well, here it is! My favourite thing EVER! I know that it's not overly good for a favourite thing to be an inanimate object that lives in your closet but oh my goodness, I cannot get over it! I own this! I actually own this! Me! A checkout operator, high school dropout, owning a Trelise Cooper coat! :D I saw it in this seasons copy of Fashion Quarterly and knew I had to have it. Then I saw it in Arthur Barnett and there was only my size left... I quite happily dipped into my savings to splurge on it hehe :) Still soooo incredibly happy with my coat :)

I've been pretty busy. I'm working, making my neighbour's costume for her 60s themed party, making my workmate's formal dress, making my own dresses and somehow(!) finding the time to play dress up, watch The Ridges (sue me -.-) and go into town. Pretty chaotic if I do say so myself hehe I have such a vacant expression in this photo but it was actually the best of the bunch hahaha
